So, today's day 2 of the deployment. Yesterday I managed to get up to Bde (in Syracuse)because someone in personel decided that due to my background in the mystical world of intel, I should be reassigned to the Bde S2 section. NO NO NO!!! So I spent all of today working with the S2 who was helping me deal with the S1(personel) trying to get through his head that I'm a medic and need to go back to my original unit. Even though he saw the papers that prove I'm a medic he still tried to keep me there until I said the majic words...I want to see the Bde Cdr and the IG, today. Funny, when you say these words, things start to happen. You start to see results.
So...tomorrow we'll be bussing to Ft Drum. A couple of hrs after that, flying to Ft. Bragg. Then I'll link up with my medical platoon and all will be right with the world; this one anyway. It's going to feel a little odd since I havn't been there in some time.
I don't know what the internet availability will be for me there. We'll be living in the field for the time we're there, so I don't know when I'll be able to post again.
