So, here we are again! Sorry to all who have checked in over the last couple of months. The military server wouldn't allow me onto this site.
Today is Mar 21. The training is finished, and now I'm on pass until Tuesday night. Danielle was supposed to get here tonight, but the flight got cancelled. So she gets here in the morning. I can't wait for her to get here!
Once we get back to Bragg, we sit and wait for the Air Force to let us know our exact flight schedule. I'm supposed to be on the last flight out. Kuwait first for a few days, then off to Afghanistan.
As it stands now, I'm the medic for the Bde HQ company comander and 1SG. What does that mean? Whenever they have to go out to different areas to check on our other facilities and equipment, Doc Brown goes along for the ride. Not too bad. I work with a good group of people, I spend a bunch of time on Camp Phoenix and get to go to other areas and see other parts of the country.
The picture is (right to left) SSG Miller, SGT Reynolds and myself. We're ready to go. Get a change of scenery and start getting to work.
Following the weather in Kabul. It's DAMN COLD there! I kind of wish I was getting sent to Kandahar (I don't know if that's spelled right). It's a lot warmer in the winter. Although a bit warmer in the summer, I think it's a fair trade for the warmer winter.
So, right now I'm sitting in the hotel typing and watching tv, waiting for my wife to get here. This sucks!
Well, that's all for now. I'll try to get something else up before we fly. If not, sorry.
